Ghost the musical. Emotional experience is back

Ghost – the new British musical based on 1990 multi award-winner movie “Ghost” which was one of the best romantic movies of that time. The year 1990 brought to the World emotional romantic movie called Ghost that received so many Awards for outstanding movie and the idea as a whole. Today, in 2011, this somewhat overlooked experience has returned in new way. It has returned as Theatre performance in beginning of the summer in Manchester Opera House, England. Directed by Matthew Warchus, Ghost the musical is youngest performance among all West End Shows in 2011. As the youngest of the musicals in West End World, Ghost is brought again to remember Sam and Molly, their romantic relations and big tragedy that happened with them both. In 2011 Ghost is back again in new modern way in big Theatre World with great scenes, lighting and emotional experience.

The idea of making Ghost show revival came to director Matthew Warchus to rebirth something really great that was big hit about 20 years ago. Here we’re talking about the movie. It was so successful that it gained huge income in the beginning of the 90’s. The idea of human souls that are living among them in real World trying to help these people was something never thought before in movie World. Matthew Warchus wanted to revive this idea again in new way with more emotional performance then in that time. Today Ghost is seen in Theatre deals with new ideas and new story and new emotions. I think that everyone remembers the story of the movie – the tragedy of Sam and Molly. Molly experienced the death of her beloved Sam right before her eyes. And Sam was living in human World as lost soul that couldn’t get into heaven because of the mission he need to do. His mission was to save Molly from dirty money launder Carl Bruner – Sam’s friend in the past. Sam held huge amount of money in Bank for what he was killed by his friend Carl.

It doesn’t make any sense to rewrite the whole movie’s story again. It’s known too well to tell it again. London Theatre will tell it live. Ghost is presented with new ideas, new music, new lyrics and also new ideas in scene design.  It’s brand new remake with modern technology. But it still holds the main essence of the movie. It holds romantic emotional performance. Molly and Sam are main characters in the show. And Oda Mae Brown, a medium between our and next World is also the one that couldn’t be forgot. She’s in the show also. Molly, Sam and Oda Mae Brown presents emotional performance that needs to bee seen if you like to remember the Ghost movie in new way.

In this musical you’ll hear new songs and lyrics written by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard and Bruce Joel Rubin. These songs make show very modern. The main song by Righteous Brothers – Unchained Melody is also included in Ghost as highlight of the show.

Ghost premiered in Manchester in Opera House in May. The previews began at Piccadilly Theatre in London West End in June and now it aims to Broadway in 2012 after its success inEngland. It will start in April evening. I’m sure Ghost will rreciev possitive reviews and will be nominated for multi Awards for oustanding show after its previews in Broadway because it presents very emotional scenes that audience wants to suffer like 20 years ago when the movie was released to the big screen.
